CARCASS - your blood flies in the wind

Quote of the Decade:
Bill Steer rules the world... He lives on Mt. Olympus, and carries a lightning bolt staff in his hand, donned in a toga... - Jo

Striking up my discordant underture
A carnal cacophony, perversely penned
Transposed... and decomposed

[How Carcass changed my life: an essay by Paul]

carcass, carcase [kaarkas] n dead body of animal; trunk of dead animal after head, limbs, and offal have been removed by a butcher; (cont) body of human being; Liverpool based band of grinding musicians sharing an unhealthy interest in the macabre.

And on the 7th day, Carcass created God...

Apologies for invading on the original site, but it has to be done. In a fit of stupidity sometime in 2002, I killed the directory containing this site without having any sort of backup. Upon hearing from my host that lots of people are still trying to get to these pages, I decided to give them a new lease on life.

I ripped what I could from the Internet Archive Wayback Machine, but it turns out that their mirror was incomplete, so I've censored all the broken links that I could find. If you happen to have any of the missing content, please send it to me as soon as possible.

Lastly, there are going to be some minor formatting changes here and there while I update these pages to be XHTML 1.0 compliant. There were a few evil looking bits of HTML that just had to go. So far, these pages have been tested in Mozilla 1.4b, MSIE 6.0, and w3m 0.3.2.2.

If you have any questions/comments about the layout or missing contents, let me know. All other communication should go to the original site author, matthew_holliman (at) yahoo <dot> com.

First, stop writing and asking for lyrics. Most are in the CD booklets, tape and LP inserts, etc. Any others are on Kevin's lyrics page - just look there.

Unfortunately, I have no time to finish this project, so you'll have to make do with what's on here currently. Immense thanks to Ryan for hosting these pages so the legend of Carcass can live on via the net.

Please help! I'm always looking for demos, bootlegs, or other unusual paraphernalia (including corrected tabs!)

An impassioned plea!

I'm looking for early shirts, especially one with the Reek artwork from the band's Symphonies of Sickness tour in Scandinavia, one with the split head from Symphonies, one with the newspaper inlay from Reek, etc... so if anyone can help me out, this annoying message will be taken off this page!!!

Back to the regular babble...

Welcome once again to my unofficial Carcass page devoted to the worship of all that is Carcass. As you may have noticed, I've had to reorganise the page recently, and I'd appreciate any feedback regarding the layout etc...

One note about the page; small images are normally thumbnails. To see a larger version of the image, just click on it. Immense thanks are due to Musclehead for originally scanning in and editing a number of these images.

Please feel free to send e-mail with any suggestions or comments, or offers of Carcass stuff I don't have...
